2000 Ojai Thompson Special

2000 Ojai Syrah Thompson Vineyard Special Bottling - more smoky than expected, with animal notes.  Undeniable underlying sweetness with prunes.  Good concentration.  Half an hour after opening showing jammy notes.  Woodsy and fragrant 45 minutes in, and tannins were more obvious.  One and a half hour later smoke and tannins dominate, and not as good as before.
